5ml. Palo Santo Essential Oil in Miron Violet Glass
Palo Santo Essential Oil is a very rare oil to find. That is because it is made from wood that must be dead for about ten years, allowing the pitch to concentrate in the heartwood. Palo santo comes from the same family as Frankincense, and carries the same spiritual and energetic cleansing properties. Its name means Holy Wood. The Inca used it as incense to purify the environment for ceremony, and cleanse the spirit of negative energies. This oil is wild crafted and steam distilled by artisans from Ecuador, with a conscious intention for honouring the environment and its limited availability in nature.
ALCHEMY
The magic of Palo Santo is in the alchemical process that happens after the death of a limb or a tree. In order for the Palo Santo to gain its magical and medicinal properties it must die, the natural death of a wise old limb or tree. (Palo Santo trees live for 80 to 90 years). After death, the tree must remain in its natural habitat for 4 to 10 years to complete its metamorphosis. Only then do its sacred, medicinal and mystical properties come alive. Palo Santo has been used for thousands of years in Peru and Ecuador by shamans and healers. Palo Santo is part of their ceremonies and healing rituals even today.
A POWERFUL EXPERIENCE
I'd like to share with you an experience I had with the Palo Santo from the winter list. I took it with me to meditation. I breathed the scent in as I went into the stillness. I had quite an incredible experience. I found myself in this ancient place - a part of a tribe of very special people. I think it was Peru. I was in the midst of a marriage ceremony. Everyone was there in pure and true support and celebration of the bride and groom. Nothing else! Every single person had pure and true love in their hearts and was there for the purpose of this ceremony. It was deeply touching and powerful. It's altruism in it's truest sense. It was unconditional love and support ... it was pure love. It was ABSENCE OF FEAR. This oil is very special indeed. It's funny because when I first smelled it - I just loved it ... it had a very deep rich scent - there was a hint of licorice and then vanilla. My daughter also smelled the licorice which she doesn't care for and that was enough to turn her off.. One of the women at meditation smelled gasoline and my husband smelled paint/turpentine. I was the only one so far who loved it. I mean I really loved it ... I suppose I need it now. My experience with meditating with the oil transformed me. I am a different person. I hold in my reality now, the possibility of living in unconditional love and absence of fear. I feel connected to community - though not a community as we tend to think of it - the ultimate community - the community of All That Is. It's a powerful oil, with a beautiful message.
Here's what my supplier shared with me after I told her of my experience:
I was guided to begin taking it internally--a semi-homeopathic level remedy, 2 times daily. I am feeling extremely connected with this plant and its community now. It offered me some information a week or two ago about being a remedy for petrochemical allergies and sensitivities. After I heard the stories of gasoline and turpentine, I realized this is the oil talking to me in stereo! I will definitely be using this one to help people desensitize from petrochemical toxicity!

The scent is deep and rich and can be overpowering.
