What happens when crystals break
I had this beautiful selenite crystal. A long thick wand and about 3/4 of the way up it opened up like a flower with petals of frozen light. It was stunning. When it broke I was devastated. This happened years ago and it’s only right now, in this moment, all these years later that I know why this crystal shattered.
The timing is always perfect
As a crystal whisperer, I speak to the stones all the time. And very often I get beautiful wisdom, medicine and guidance instantly. Not always though. Sometimes I have to wait: days, weeks, months, even years. Like with this Selenite Flower Wand. It doesn’t seem to matter when they happen to share their magic, the timing is always perfect—for what is happening in my life (or my client’s), in the world, or in the cosmos.
The purpose of this selenite crystal breaking is not the same as the broken Vanadinite that came in to show me that it is still whole. Or an agatized shell which showed me that the “break” which changed its shape actually brought it to its true form. An amber tumble that cracked open was a “broken record”, carrying a hidden song about true colours. And a sea slag stone that chipped had been hiding a rainbow. They each broke in different ways and they each had their own reasons.
Deflecting danger
Some say that when something breaks, it’s deflecting danger away from you. The crystal breaks so that you don’t come to any harm. I have always believed that when something in my world breaks it means that something in my life has shifted. It might be that an old pattern has broken or an old trauma has been released.
There’s more here. A deeper understanding that arose with the reemergence of the flower wand. The sound of something breaking can draw us out of even the most intense concentration. We can tune out the distractions in the noisiest of places but something breaking really captures the attention—sometimes quite dramatically. In a microsecond, whatever is going on at the moment is abandoned and the attention is hyper-focussed.
And with that acute awareness, there’s an opportunity to readjust your frequency and rise up into your purpose. It is very much like an alarm bell ringing, waking you up out of a sleep you might not have known you were in and you no longer need to be in.
A poof of invisible energy
The Selenite flower wand had yet another gift. They projected an image to my third eye that further expanded my understanding of these shatterings. It was of a giant puffball (mushroom) releasing spores…a poof of creative energy that brings with it the potential for something new. But before these seeds can be scattered, the puffball’s outer form needs to be broken.
Through this vision, I was shown that when a crystal breaks a creative energy is released, similar to what happens when a puffball opens up, except the crystal’s energy is invisible. So while we see a broken crystal as a destruction, it is also creative. We don’t necessarily see that energy being seeded out into the world, but we might be able to feel it, especially when we know it is there. See if you can tune into it when you watch the video below:
After many years here sitting quietly, this crystal family whispered to me, their purpose for breaking. They are here to help a broken family to come back together. You don’t need to have them in your hand to receive their gift. You can tune in through their picture of through the video.
