For the love of Emerald

There are two stones of the year for 2025–a duet. Emerald is one of them. Because they have many gifts and much medicine to share with us—and have been chatty about it—I’ll focus on emerald today and I’ll reveal the other stone next time.

Earth's Love

Emerald is a stone of deep, rich love. Earth’s love. Their love is so expansive, that it can be overlooked at first. You need to spend some time with them in order to truly feel the extent of their unconditional, motherly affection. Carry them with you. Keep them nearby. Sit with them. Open your heart with the intention of feeling them and they will show you. And, if you are not one who easily feels the energy of the stones or if you truly want to believe but can’t get past your skepticism, they will help you to open your heart. Not just to them but to yourself.

What's hidden in your heart

With that open heart, emerald will show you how to see into your core personal truths. When we don’t abide by the things we hold sacred, we end up living our lives by the rules of others. Emerald is a stone to free and release the self from the societal constraints that keep us small and in our secrets. They teach us how to show ourselves the same unconditional love that they have shown to us.

It is through this reflection of pure, maternal love, that Emerald leads us into being comfortable in our truth—unafraid and unapologetic about who we are and what we believe to be true about the world. That is what makes it such an ideal stone for leaders.

Personal power

Emerald is a power stone. It can become a bridge to access our personal power—the center of our self and the seat of our will. When we are strong in our convictions, we are able to speak with a calm confidence that invites respect rather than conflict.

Emerald is a stone for clear vision. It can show us what we are capable of and what patterns no longer fit into the lives we are destined for. If we allow emerald to help us see without looking away, the transition into our expanded life will be easier. It is much easier to let go of something we see does not fit us and is holding us back from something better. That does not mean bypassing the grief that comes with loss. It means walking through it with more ease and with the motivation that comes from seeing—with clarity—all that we can be.

The richness of life

Emerald is a stone of riches. It carries the frequency of wealth without the shackles of neediness. Its energy is about coming into the awareness that the universe is always giving us what we need in order to fulfill our highest purpose.

This is just the beginning of what Emerald has to share with us. I imagine there will be more messages from this magical stone over the coming months.

Next week I’ll introduce you to Emerald’s mate for this year. Can you guess who it is?
